Vernors started by simplifying the idea of a vehicle owner app and made its way to becoming a future execution.
Designed from the beginning to support a variety of use cases, languages and multiple General Motors brands from around the world, Vernors has one user experience that works across multiple platforms from mobile, tablet and web with minimal change to the core interface.
The overall design has undergone five major revisions with each removing and refining UI elements, data points, use cases and task flows to create a very honed experience that will delight customers in the future.
While continuing to explore the Vernors concept, I was able to leverage UX/UI learnings into the new GM Owner App 3.0 project.
The GM Owner App is one code-base used across the four US brands (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac). By leveraging the exisiting RemoteLink 2.0 experince with the Vernors concept, I was able to produce an app that would serve as a bridge to the future of GM's mobile apps platform.
myCadillac:
iPad app designed for use in Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealerships across the U.S. allowing dealership personnel to demonstrate vehicle infotainment systems to customers looking to purchase new vehicles.
iPhone and iPad app developed for in-house prototyping tool, NextUX.
NextUX is used to build prototype applications. Once those are completed, NextUX App Player can be opened to run those prototype applicaitons.
Worked on redesigning RemoteLink 1.0 to have a more modern look and feel.
Application concept developed to demonstrate how dealership personnel could help customers set up their new vehicle before they get inside and drive away.
